Recipes
The Recipes screen holds the library everything else in Gatherings draws on, across 3 views: Recipes, Saved Recipes, and Recently Viewed. Recipes are reused across events rather than belonging to any one of them. This page covers each view.
Recipes
The main view lists every recipe with its name, recipe type tags, diet tags, and serving size.
Search, filter, and sort — the search input, the filter flyout (by event, diet, and recipe type), and the sortable column headers narrow the list.
Create or edit — a recipe takes a name, a serving size, ingredients with quantities and units, and optional recipe type and diet tags.
Bookmark — puts a recipe in Saved Recipes.
Delete — permanently removes the recipe and its ingredient links.
Import — upload a .csv or .json file. The preview shows up to 5 recipes. Choose how a name that already exists is handled:
| Option | Result |
|---|---|
| Skip | Leaves the existing recipe unchanged |
| Rename | Imports the new recipe with a numbered suffix |
| Overwrite | Replaces the existing recipe and its links |
Read the import summary afterward. A single file can import some recipes and report errors on others.
Export — downloads your library as a file, for backup or for sharing.
Manage Recipe Tags and Manage Ingredients open those screens.
